This is a roughing reamer with an interchangeable pilot. It is designed to quickly rough out the chamber so that you will save time when using the finishing reamer. Various pilots are available, depending on the caliber of your barrel. These pilots have a different than those used with the floating reamers, and allow for a wider variety of sizes.

This reamer is made from high speed steel and is not suitable for hardened steel barrels. We offer a limited selection of carbide reamers for cutting chrome barrels. NOTE: Insurance does not cover damage caused by a hardened barrel.
